2018/2019 - A Year in Review

The past academic year has been very busy for the club, but every venture has been met with drive and enthusiasm from the committee and members alike.

The first success of the year was at BUCS, with the York team placing 12th, an improvement from placing 18th the previous year. Our own competition, the York Cup, was also a massive success with great reviews from every university that took part (thanks again to Park Lodge and York Guns for making this competition possible). An impressive score was also achieved at Roses, creating a strong competition for Lancaster University. Like the York Cup, attention must be paid to the ability of the club members to work together and organise such an event.

The social aspect of the club has also been developed, with multiple socials being held throughout the year, concluding with the summer formal held last week at York Racecourse. The club also welcomed new members this year who have all seemed to enjoyed their time with us.

Hopefully we will be able to carry on both the competitive and social successes of this year well into the future. Looking forward to another exciting year of shooting after the holidays!
